If you’re anything like us, you find many types of exercise rather boring, except for games. We can’t always get a court for badminton or find enough players for volleyball or a game of pick-up football, though.

Lately, yoga and t’ai chi have been getting a lot of good press. They are not competitive, you can join a class or do them at home, depending on your desire for company, and they can be done without any special equipment.

So even if you do like going to the gym or running, you might also enjoy learning yoga and martial arts for stress relief and overall fitness. From someone who teaches both introductory and advanced courses in yoga and t’ai chi (and also plays a mean round of golf) come our recommendations for beginners.

These two books are available from Amazon.co.uk for shipping to Europe, Africa, or Asia; just click the following links: Yoga for Wimps and Tai Chi for Body, Mind & Spirit.

If you live in or near North America, you may prefer to go to Amazon.com to order these books: Yoga for Wimps and Tai Chi for Body, Mind & Spirit.

And if you can only devote 3 minutes a day to your body, never mind your mind or spirit, how about trying 3-Minute Abs: Achieving the Look You’ve Always Wanted in Only 3 Minutes a Day? You can get your hands on Kurt Brungardt’s book at Amazon.co.uk or at Amazon.com.

You’ll make your body happy!
